A professor at Texas A&M International University in Laredo was fired Nov. 5 for displaying on his course blog the names of six students accused of plagiarism.

Loye Young, formerly an adjunct professor of management information systems, said his course syllabus warned students he would "publicly fail and humiliate" any student caught plagiarizing.

Wreck leaves three Tech students dead

Three Texas Tech students died after a traffic accident Sunday in Grimes County.

Jeffery Michael Inns and Kyle Drew Anderson, of Montgomery, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 1:10 p.m. Sunday. Chelsea Wiseman, of Austin, died at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston after she initially was in critical condition.
