Seeing the liberal Girls Gone Wild bus outside of Goober McCool's in a typically conservative Portales, N.M., was a sight to see before students left for Thanksgiving break. The popular DVD brand brought people from as far as Amarillo to the popular eastern New Mexico bar on Nov. 18.

The walls were packed to capacity around 10 p.m. with men just hoping to catch a glance of the young ladies they had seen on the past editions of DVDs.

The stop in Portales was part of the company's campaign to find the hottest girl in America. The campaign is geared towards going into small college towns in order to crown one young lady.

The owners of McCool's had asked if the company could make a quick stop before heading to Canyon, Texas and bars that center around West Texas A&M.

"They said they would, and here they are," one employee said. "We have some other things planned (for the bar) once the weather warms up."

One hopeful participant said she had been drinking since 5 p.m. Others maintained sobriety until later in the evening.

Employees of the bar had a difficult time controlling minors from posing with the bus for pictures, but managed keep those under 21 away.

When asked if this was the biggest thing to hit McCool's, one of the security guards simply stated, "Hell yeah."

McCool's increased security by having eight bouncers as opposed to just one bouncer, which is the norm.

Parking was also a concern for attendees, but some found open spots at surrounding businesses.
