Magic Made Moot

You know that feeling you have right before you go see a movie you're pretty sure you are going to enjoy? Have you ever had that feeling completely ruined in less than a five minute period? Well, if you haven't let me tell you, it stinks.
You walk into the theater, you talk to whoever you're with to figure out where you are going to sit and if you want snacks. Then you sit through the boring pre-previews; where you hear some movie trivia and you are told what the movie-goer rules are: keep your feet off of the seats, turn off your cell phones, and keep the theater clean, etc.
Finally the movie is about to start, cue the lights, and you watch the previews, which are great because we all get to say, "hey that looks cool" or "that looks dumb." The movie starts, and right at the very beginning, of a comedy no less, someone shouts out something like, "there's no way that could happen" or "that's retarded," and the magic of the movie theater, that shining little bubble, bursts.
There is always that one jerk that cannot follow the rules, they're talking or texting on their cell phone, they're shouting during the movie, or, my favorite - keep in mind you don't know this person - they randomly look at you, not their friend sitting on the other side of them, and talk to you about how fake the acting is or how the special effects are lame.
I understand everyone is entitled to their opinions about how they think a film is made or the acting in said film, but if I don't know you, heck even if I do, let's keep our opinions to ourselves until the end of the movie. If I wanted to listen to in-movie commentary I would just wait for the DVD to come out and get the director's opinion.
If you are one of these people, the next time you go to a movie, think about where you sit and what you are going to say before you say it. If you know you have a problem talking to others during the movie sit away from everyone. If you have a problem with shouting during movies don't go to the theater unless there is no one else watching that particular movie or you can control yourself, because frankly it's annoying and ruins the cinema experience.
