Three fires occur within ten days in Portales

An investigation is still ongoing, but Portales Fire Department Batallion Chief Lance Hill says the department has uncovered no evidence that the fires might be connected.
The first fire was reported at 10:40 a.m. on March 27, when firefighters were called to the Portales Dollar General and Trader Horn's True Value Hardware warehouse.
The second was reported at Big Valley Ford's repair shop at 6:21 p.m. on April 13.
Sunday's fire at Portales Valley Mills was reported at 3:30.
Hill said only one injury has been reported due to the fires. A firefighter has been treated and released.
