"Basically, I'm showing people a view of the world (through) my own eyes," Burch said of her photography.

After graduation, Burch said she hopes to continue doing photography and eventually get a master's degree.

Cavaliere, 22, said she enjoys mostly painting, ceramic and wood sculpture, but the latter offers her an opportunity to connect her art with nature which is important to her.

"Nature-that's my spring," Cavaliere said. Growing up on a farm in Waxahachie, Texas, a town just outside of Dallas has allowed Cavaliere to experience nature firsthand. She said she was also always encouraged in her art by her mother.

After graduation, Cavaliere said she plans to become certified as a carpenter.

"I love working in wood," Cavaliere said, "it's my trade."

Cavaliere showed various forms of art in the exhibit. "Water, Flora and Easy Earth" was perhaps most indicative of her love of nature. The piece featured three ceramic masks. The mask that represented "easy earth" had its eyes closed as if it was asleep.

A painting called "Chair" featured a pregnant woman sitting in a big chair, looking as if she is contemplating the world outside a window. This piece may be indicative of art imitating nature, or vice versa-Cavaliere said she and her husband are expecting a baby in November.
