The show began at 8 p.m. in the Campus Union Ballroom, the hall was full of people and they were all getting ready for the show.
Hoffman started the performance with a little paper airplane, he had an audience member pick up the paper airplane and to think of one vegetable without saying it out loud, and when the audience member turned it over it was exactly what the guest thought of, "broccoli."
Another moment which stood out during the show was on the mental connection between twins. The twins were asked to close their eyes and turn to the audience. Hoffman used a microphone to touch one of them, when he asked "who felt the hit?" and both of them raised their hands, he asked them to show where did they feel the hit, and they both pointed to the same place. He explained it as a special connection between the twins, and he can dig them out from their subconscious. This performance dropped people's jaws and students spoke highly of it. "I think it's so amazing, the show was awesome, especially the twins part," ENMU student Jerret Lovelace said.
Hoffman also incorporated the whole audience into a game during the show, reading the thoughts in people's minds. He picked up the individual and figured out what they were thinking, no matter if it was music, a cartoon or even the name of the first kiss they had, the answer was always right.
"It was crazy and so weird that I felt like crying," ENMU student Kandace Bergsieker said, after her thought was "stolen" by Hoffman and he guessed the name of the movie she just saw.
Although many people think it's incredible, there are still some students who wouldn't believe it.
According to the official Website of Wayne Hoffman, he extensively studies in the fields of sociology, psychology and human behavior. Hoffman usually tours the world to share his presentation involving body language, human behavior and the understanding of the human mind. He has also appeared on The Learning Channel, Cable News Network and the Discovery channel before. Now he is ranked as the best mentalist in the world according to the Website.
