On Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. a Fall Carnival was held by the Office of Student Activities and Organizations.
Katie Espinosa, a member of the organization welcomed people to the carnival, as long as you love to play games, no matter who you were you could participate in the activities. It is a time to become a kid again. She introduced the rules of the activities, telling them they can try every game and there are no restrictions on the number of those games.
You earn points through plays. At last according to the total points, you can exchange them for prizes. They supplied different levels of prizes for different points. Prizes included goodies and plush toys; such as cupcakes, pies, cookies, candy apples, teddy bears, and toy dogs. For 300 points one could get popcorn, for 500 points one could get hot dogs, for 1000 points one could get a little plush toy, for 2000 points one could get a big cake, and for 5000 points one could get a big teddy bear.
The games ranged in their level of difficulty. For example Duck Pond, every duck has different points, so, whichever duck you picked you got the points; Plinko, its principal Emily Vickers said it gamers just needed to drop a coin down through the channel and if it goes down a column then they got points. Some games needed some skills, like Frog-hop, where players need to use the appropriate amount of strength; and Penny Toss, where players had to throw the pennies into the tiny dots.
Everyone looked like they were having lots of fun and it was a good time to do something for families to do together.
