Over the past couple of weeks, theaters across the country and people have been standing in line to watch the so called, "scariest movie yet.'' "Paranormal Activity" is the story of a young couple who moves into their new suburban home, and are soon disturbed by an unknown presence. The film is sweeping across the country capturing the attention of audiences as a must see horror film.
There was no better way to spend the Halloween weekend than with the horrifying "Paranormal Activity."
I personally don't usually get freaked out during horror movies, but this movie left me screaming in the theater. This movie not only scared me in the theater but scared me to the point where I didn't want to stay in my room that night.
I thankfully was not the only one screaming as the whole theater was left in sheer terror. I personally don't believe in paranormal behavior, however to some this type of stuff peaks their interest and after viewing the movie they fully believe in it even more so than before.
Although the first twenty minutes of the movie are extremely slow and rather unimportant, it soon progresses into a movie that you can't stop watching. There was a full house when I viewed the movie, and so far this movie has been number one on the charts since the day it came out. It has even beat out the box office numbers of the always gruesome "SAW" movies.
I personally didn't see much publicity for the movie, but I was encouraged to see it by what others had said. I had heard nothing but great things about the movie, and the movie did indeed live up to its rumors.
This movie was based off the director Oren Peli's experience when he moved into his new house. Whether or not this is true, I can promise you that this movie is definitely worth your nine dollars. If you would like to view the trailer of the movie and want more information on it you can visit you tube and type in Paranormal Activity official trailer, or you can visit http://www.paranormalmovie.com.
